Company History
In 1997, CBC was formed from a management buyout of the Red Crown Marketing division of BP Amoco. The CBC team brought with them more than 75 years of petroleum retail, distribution and corporate experience.
With this deep industry experience, CBC was able to apply the 'power in numbers' concept. By uniting a large group of independent operators, CBC formed a clear channel of communication with industry-leading suppliers. This gave suppliers direct access to the fragmented independent market. At the same time, CBC provided retailers with the chance to find unparalleled savings with increased purchasing power.
Today, CBC has grown to become the nation’s largest marketing services company made up of more than 25,000 member locations within the petroleum marketing, private fleet distribution, and automotive industries. Our team has expanded to include industry experts in purchasing, marketing, operations, and communications. We provide our clients, members, and suppliers with the Power to Compete.
